According to the YouTube video, industrial engineering is incomplete without understanding motion study, which is one of the fundamental elements to mastering industrial engineering. Based on my observation, Lillian Gilbreth has done the motion study indirectly in her daily life. She juggles her obligations as a mother of 12 children while also pursuing her job, which has astounded me. She's a pro at managing her time and balancing her tasks. Not only that, Lillian Gilbreth's contribution is that she has found a niche in engineering to help women overcome cultural barriers like manganese and boost workplace efficiency.

Assignment 3: Mini Lean/5S Project​

  ​In e-portfolio, demonstrate a mini lean/ 5S project. It should shows the difference in efficiency/ waste reduction before and after (5%).   Before  The picture above shows the condition of my messy desk. Due to a busy week with quizzes, assignments and exams, I didn't have time to tidy up the desk. A disorganized desk leads to misplaced documents, lost information, and increased stress. It also impacts how people view you, which can lead to heightened levels of self-consciousness (which can detract from focus on work-related tasks). Messy desk also can affect my anxiety levels, and ability to focus.  After By applying 5S, I have tidied up and have arranged the position of stationery and study equipment neatly.
